This weekend is not only your birthday, but also Father’s day. It’s not a fair trade to have one celebration for two big events, especially for a dad that deserves thanks every day at best. You truly are an amazing man. You’re success is endless, whether it be in your careers, raising all six of your favorite children (we know that’s mainly me…), and being a wonderful husband. I have never seen you put less than 100% into anything you are passionate about it, and you have definitely passed on your determination to all of us.
You have always allowed me to be whoever I want to be and your encouragement is endless. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing you always have my back, even if it’s as small as a high five after a run. You have always been there for the important moments. Dance recitals, tennis tournaments, orientation at the University of Michigan, graduation, choir concerts, half marathons, and birthdays. I will never forget the time you waved at me during Festival of Dance, and I was so happy that I stopped what I was doing to wave back, and in turn missed my bow. It’s those little things that make you great. Even driving and picking me up from camp last week meant so much to me, especially since you had to listen to me talk about it the whole ride home! I have so many wonderful memories with you, a lot of them involve singing in the car to “Bye Bye Miss American Pie” or more recently “Killing Me Softly”.
Before I write a short story…. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for your endless support, your humor and sarcasm ( I think you passed a lot of that to me), your love, free neck massages, and no matter how old I get still allowing me to lean on you, literally. I love knowing you are always in the crowd so to speak and I love you. Happy Father’s Day, Love Bean
